Interstices is a long-term choreographic-cultural collaboration program between Montreal and Jerusalem. It was born out of the realization that dance provides a broad understanding on cultural-political contexts through the human body’s expression.

The program’s vision is to enable sustainable mutual learning, to deepen international connections between creators and audiences on both places. Dance and performing arts serves as a cultural mediator between various communities inhabiting these two cities.
‘Interstices’ is designed to empower independent artists to lead and initiates original projects that reflect the diversity and cultural DNA of both cities. The program provides an envelope for nuriting dance projects; for creation, presentation, research, meetings and exchange of delegations. All aim to have local elements from Montreal and Jerusalem.
