Elad Schechter – c.a.t.a.m.o.n

About a decade ago, I created Tech it Away a simple, almost naive attempt to find human pleasure within a world that was becoming increasingly fast, functional, and technological. Since then, something has shifted in all of us. Algorithms, artificial intelligence, and ever-glowing screens have entered our lives and at times, the body has been pushed aside. Now I return to this work from a different place. I, too, have changed as a person, as a parent, as an artist. The collaborators have returned transformed, and new creators have joined us. There is a profound privilege in this: to encounter an old piece with a new body, new questions, and a deep longing for unmediated connection. TecH iT AwaY2.6v is an invitation to pause. To listen to breath, to touch, to the presence of another. Within the microcosm of E – by c.a.t.a.m.o.n, in a changing Jerusalem with all its layers and tensions, we seek to create a moment of togetherness a small, shared human pleasure within an automated world. Perhaps this is not an escape from technology, but a quiet reminder:

the body remembers, and connection is still possible. We are still here. Together.
