from jaffa to agripas festival 2025

Over the past two years, we’ve been living through shadowed days — a time of rupture and uncertainty. And somehow, at this very moment,  with the opening of the 11th edition of the “From Jaffa to Agripas” Festival, we find ourselves creating a new home.

We are proud to present: Ha E by c.a.t.a.m.o.n.

“ha E” is not just a space — it is a vision.
A place where movement can breathe freely, where new thoughts are born from a crack, a glance, or an outstretched hand.
Here, we allow ourselves to pause within the complexity and insist on compassion, on listening, on generosity — precisely at a time when these feel like rare resources.

It is not easy to present a festival at a time like this, yet we are certain that cultural creation is, in itself, an act of hope. We invite the audience on a journey to our island — a journey of movement, of closeness, and of a renewed perspective on the place we live in and the people who make it.

This year, the festival is not just a stage — it is a sanctuary, and a space to be in action: whether as a viewer or a performer.
A place where one can stand tall in the face of reality — and even rise above it for a moment, to look at it from the outside, with kind eyes and creativity.

What is a cultural center in our current era?
How can new, distinctive practices develop from the margins, influencing the body, the audience, and their shared experience?

This year, we chose to focus on the movement between center and periphery — not as fixed concepts, but as an ongoing dynamic. action often arises from the margins: it grows there, and frequently reshapes the center itself. Our move to “ha E” — from the beating heart of the city center and its market to the Talpiot area — reflects more than just a geographical change; it embodies a deep artistic and cultural process.

The 2025 edition brings together established choreographers alongside new and intriguing voices. Together, they weave a vibrant fabric of ideas, perspectives, and embodied sensitivity.
Each participating artist this year brings a unique voice, an original approach, and a courageous willingness to ask profound questions through the body.

We invite you to come, take part, and breathe the movement with us.
Because right now, right here — every step matters.
