Undone
Undone is an intimate solo work. A person moves within their room between everyday actions and those that are performative and expressive. Positioned like a fly on the wall, the audience is exposed to the private world of the observed, unfolding within an internal dialogue. They peek into a private world that does not exist for them.
The room is a private and intimate space, the place we return to at the end of the day, a refuge from the outside world. We close the door and allow ourselves to come undone. Within this unraveling, an honest truth begins to emerge: personal expression, the ugly parts, fears, dreams, poetry. All of these begin to transform the room. The familiar starts to crack. Out of the everyday space, new worlds emerge, imagined, internal ones.
Undone is a process of slow disintegration: of the body, of the everyday, and of the boundaries between the person and the character, between reality and imagination.
