Festival from Jaffa to Agripas – Between Body and Place

Dance in the Mahane Yehuda market and an open space for local dance at Alliance House

9 Israeli choreographers, 5 visiting choreographers from the US, Canada, Belgium and Palestine, 10 premieres, workshops, talks, all in the Mahane Yehuda market and Alliance House.

A special initiative of the c.a.t.a.m.o.n. Group, under the artistic direction of Elad Schechter, brings together for the fifth time the Mahane Yehuda market and dance as it continues to deepen the encounter between body and place. The first part of the festival will feature premieres of choreographers and dancers from all over the country, in cooperation with Jerusalem artists and business owners in the Mahane Yehuda market, and will expose to the general public 10 dance works at a special premiere. In following three days of the festival, there will be an open space for local dance at Alliance House – a home for creative communities. Three days of talks, workshops, meetings and performances by guests from abroad directly related to the encounter between body and place.
