We are happy to launch two opportunities for Montreal-based dance makers, and artists to engage in

Remote Artistic mentoring

Remote Artistic mentoring, advising and/or Collaborating’Interstices’ project’s vision is to connect between artists from the two communities – Jerusalem and Montreal – and support their mutual projects in various ways – including financially. c.a.t.a.m.o.n currently holds a residency program in c.a.t.a.m.o.n’s studio, hosting six artists throughout 2021. We offer you to pair up with an Israeli artist in residence, and work with them as their advisor/mentor or collaborator, depending on the needs and interest of both artists. Pairing will be facilitated by us according to your interest and the interest of the choreographer in residence at c.a.t.a.m.o.n. The range of work and engagement depends on the wishes and needs of the project. c.a.t.a.m.o.n will be able to pay a fee to Montreal based artists that range between 300-800$CA, according to the level of engagement you choose to have.
We already had a pilot – tryout of this idea earlier in 2020. Here is a link for the online event presenting the collaboration between Uri Duvdevani and Andrea Pena. This online talk/event/presentation, came after 6 online conversations – meetings between the two artists.

Broadcast dance pieces to Israeli public

We would like to create a series of online broadcasting of existing dance pieces from our collaborators in the Montreal dance scene. The show needs to be followed with an artist talk and audience Q&A. If you would like to send us options for your works, please do so. The work should be pre-recorded and in high quality, to beat the technical limitations. For each broadcast of these recorded dance pieces followed by a short talk we will be able to pay 350$ CA
