c.a.t.a.m.o.n - Dance Group in Jerusalem

c.a.t.a.m.o.n Dance Group is a cultural organization established by choreographer Elad Schechter in Jerusalem in 2012. The group recognizes that dance functions as a cultural mediator, as it facilitates non-verbal encounters and shared experiences. By doing so, social change can be motivated and different communities can meet. Movement artists has a sensitive ability to connect and bridge gaps of communication.

All of the group's activities are based on and encourage diverse intercultural collaborations and creating intense body-to-place experience. This leaves a movement and conceptual imprint in the Jerusalem physical and nonphysical sphere, that can be dragged around the world.
